On April 13th, the Second Members' Congress of Design Education Branch of China Industrial Design Association and the National Design Education Development Forum were held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. Heads of more than 300 design colleges and universities in more than 30 provinces, cities and regions across the country, subject leaders, editors of core journals, young teachers, designers and other member representatives were invited to attend the meeting. Dean Shen Fa of the School of Art and Design of our university was invited to attend the meeting, and was elected vice president in the election of the Second Council of Design Education Branch of China Industrial Design Association, and Shanghai Polytechnic University No. 2 was elected as the vice president unit of the Second Council of Design Education Branch of China Industrial Design Association.

 Founded in 2017, the Design Education Sub-Council of China Industrial Design Association is committed to uniting design institutions across the country to build a cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary and cross-field collaborative innovation community. Over the years, the Design Education Sub-Council has actively played a leading role in the construction of the global innovation system with the resources of the design industry, Education, and think tanks, and has become an indispensable backbone in the construction of the industrial design innovation system. The election of our university as the vice president of the second council of Design Education Branch of China Industrial Design Association lays a solid foundation for promoting the high-quality development of design education in our university.
